Using a Sick Day

We always dread going back to work after a eventful holiday like New Years Eve. Of course, most of us receive an extra day to recover from all the alcohol consumption and partying the night before. However, 24 hrs just isn’t enough time to get us back into the swing of things. If you are lucky, you’ve managed to accumulate a few sick days under your belt. This is the perfect time to use at least one of those, in order to prepare you both mentality and physically before you go head back to your desk.
These are a few things to remember after you call out:
1) If you’re sick, don’t be social. Fight the urge to Tweet, update or “check-in” while you are in bed “sick”
2) Watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Why not learn a thing or two about the joy of a sick day.
3) When you go back to work, take some meds with you and eat soup for lunch. If your are going to lie, at least make it look legit.
