On the Radar: The Hiker

As much as I love my British Tan wingtips, I had to find an all purpose pair of boots for when I have run through the streets of New York. So, I reached out to a friend at Lacoste, to see if she had any suggestions. Within a week, these guys where at my door. I have to say, these boots aren’t for everyone, but for the guy who’s tough on his feet, thrives on comfort and has a good sense of style…these fit the bill. With the comfort of a sneaker and traction of a hiking boot, the Lacoste Monserate comes in above-the-ankle structure, reinforced saw tooth rubber sole, while the upper is finished off with a rich mix of burnished leather and suede.

I didn’t take it easy with my trial run in the Monserate boots. I went through rain, traveled on foot from Midtown to SoHo and a private birthday party, all in a day. I have to say, these boots provided the proper amount of comfort and style to get me through the dreaded winter nights, and the upcoming wet days in spring.
