Try something more than spiked eggnog this holiday season. Ecuador’s native, Joaquín Simó (named Bartender of the Year at this year’s Tales of the Cocktail) has collaborated with well-respected bourbon* brand, Basil Hayden’s, to create the essential holiday cocktail. The Basil Hayden’s® Holiday Spice cocktail brings some of your favorite winter flavors such as maple syrup, cinnamon and a hint of peppermint together with Basil’s trademark spicy finish.
Listed below are the ingredients to help you make Basil Hayden’s® Holiday Spice cocktail the perfect addition to any holiday party or a fireside evening with a certain someone.
Basil Hayden’s® Holiday Spice
2 parts Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon
3/4 parts Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 part Maple Syrup
1/4 part Amaretto
3 dashes Angostura® bitters
1. Combine Basil Hayden¹s®, lemon juice, maple syrup, Amaretto and bitters in a mixing tin with ice and shake vigorously.
2. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
3. Grate a cinnamon stick over the top as garnish
